1) Click the Start button
2) Click run...
3) Type cmd in the prompt and click OK
(a black command prompt will open, and you can start typing right away, it will be after the >)
4)Type: ipconfig /release and hit the Enter key
(the connection will report an IP address of 0.0.0.0 confirming the release)
5)next, Type: ipconfig /renew (and hit Enter)
There is normally a short delay, and you should get an IP address similar to 169.254.1.2, 169.254.1.3, etc.

If this completed successfully, you should be able to surf the web once again. Try opening google.ca to check it.
